Unexpected circumstances and challenges can and do arise when we least expect it. Compassion’s mission compels us to work in some of the most vulnerable and fragile regions of the world, where uncertainties like conflicts, natural disasters and other crises can occur at any moment. Today, global factors like inflation, supply chain constraints and wars are actively impacting our frontline churches and the children they serve. And we anticipate future crises will only compound those problems. The children in our care depend on us to be ready and able to support them when the ground beneath their feet is unstable, and it’s our sacred duty to be there for them as they grow, learn and thrive.
Building a reliable “where most needed” fund allows Compassion to respond to emerging challenges and opportunities with quickness and flexibility. These resources allow us to humbly embrace the fact that we don’t know when or where the next pandemic may strike, earthquake could occur or conflict will erupt, while still being prepared to respond when tragedies happen.
Ensuring children can count on us when new challenges and opportunities arise.
