Ensuring that youth aged 12 and up have agency and are equipped to break the cycle of poverty is a critical part of Compassion’s program and requires locally driven solutions designed with each unique child in mind. Empowering churches to find creative ways to develop the God-given potential of every child in our care is paramount and can involve a wide range of support and activities including covering the costs of formal education fees and tuition, vocational and/or technical trainings, learning and development opportunities, income generation skills and more.
